For the winter collection 2008/09, HOSES selected for you, following designers : Marc Jacobs - One of the world's most famous designers. In 1997, Marc Jacobs becomes artistic director at Louis Vuitton and creates his first collection of ready-to-wear clothing. Avril Gau - Rising star of the addicts of the shoe. She began her career at Robert Clergerie in 1983, to create during almost 6 years the best-sellers of the brand. In 1990, she joins Karl Lagerfel at Chanel as product manager of the shoe line. Avril Gau launches her own brand for summer 2002. In the same time, since 2003, she draws the shoes for Loewe (bio express). TO & CO. - founded in 1999 by two Japanese guys : Hitoshi Hamado and Masahiro Wakabayashi. They begin by drawing a line of shoes for men while collaborating for famous Italian and Japanese brands. Roberto Del Carlo - Roberto Del Carlo s.r.l. was created in the late ‘90s when Roberto Del Carlo joined forces with Luigi Pierro to develop and build on Roberto’s own creative ideas, a goal which was quickly achieved with a targeted strategy: extreme attention to the product and selective commercial distribution. The company’s shoe factory near Lucca exclusively produces the range designed by Roberto, and the way the company is organised means he can oversee the production process from the choice of materials to the finishing techniques. Every process, including the distinctive “San Crispino” finish and the shaping of the leather sandals, is carried out by the company’s team of craftsmen to create a product of exceptional quality. Roberto Del Carlo shoes, sold in selected multi-brand boutiques and department stores, are among the world’s most sought-after Italian designer goods. Rupert Sanderson - English designer, formed his company in August 2001 and has produced a new shoe collection every season since. He spends 4 months of the year in Italy refining each shoe with the artisans in and around Bologna, where he designed for Sergio Rossi and Bruno Magli. Yves Saint Laurent - Yves Saint Laurent started off as collaborator of Christian Dior, the most famous designer of the post-war years, inventor of the New-Look. At the end of the Fifties, Yves Saint Laurent takes over the artistic direction of the House of Dior. The Yves Saint Laurent House was built up at the beginning of the Sixties and became since then the mythical label which we all know today. Chausser Inc. - Son of a tailor made shoe maker, Maho Ichihara started off as a salesman in the shoe industry. He then studied the making of shoes when he worked in a designing company. He resigned in 1998 to launch his own brand "YOH#81" aimed at apparel companies on free-lance. In 2000-2001 he introduced the "Chausser Inc." brand on the market. Céline - The label Céline first presented shoes for children in 1945. Thanks to the visionary gift of Céline Vipiana, Céline became a luxury trademark, offering a range of sophisticated, yet urban and practical clothes. Since then, between must-have and classy collections, the House of Céline remains a reference of elegance.
